We’re going to talk about something that is near and dear to my heart -- blogging. I say that because it was how I started my digital marketing career. When I found myself working an admin job in 2008 after my legal career didn’t pan out, blogging became a way for me to get back to writing. Blogging for myself and others, I learned how to market myself and brand online, how to use social media as a business, and gave me the experience I needed to be a professional writer and marketer. Blogging was an amazing thing to do back then.

But should you spend time blogging now?

I know a lot of writers go back and forth on whether they should blog or not. And, just like many things in life, there’s no clear cut answer.

But what I can help you do is figure out if it’s right for you as a fiction author or editor and if it is, how to be successful with it.

In today’s episode we’ll cover:

  • A brief history of blogging and why it’s not dead
  • How to finally figure out if you should start a blog
  • The 4-step process of setting up a successful blog
